About Christopher
A Proven Community Leader
Christopher is a lifelong resident of Downers Grove and a dedicated public servant with a proven record of leadership. First elected to the Community High School District 99 Board of Education at the age of 20, Christopher is serving in his second term, bringing a fresh, student-focused perspective to the board.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Christopher earned his B.A. in Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As the son of an immigrant father from Mexico, he knows how fragile opportunity can be. While in college, Christopher was homeless, confronting firsthand what happens when systems fail people at their most vulnerable. That experience continues to guide his commitment to building a government that prioritizes dignity, stability, and opportunity for all.

During his tenure on the school board, Christopher addressed critical issues, including strengthening mental health resources and defending support staff from outsourcing. He served as the district delegate to the Illinois Association of School Boards' Joint Annual Conference and has been a member of both the District 99 Policy Committee and the School Association for Special Education in DuPage County (SASED) Committee since 2023, working to improve policies and services for all students.

Beyond his work in education, Christopher has been a strong voice for young people and working families as President of the DuPage County Young Democrats and Third Vice President of the Young Democrats of Illinois. He also serves on the Downers Grove Township Youth Services Advisory Committee.

Now, Christopher is ready to bring his passion, energy, and real-world experience to the County Board — fighting for economic opportunity, safe communities, and a brighter future for every resident of DuPage.
